ALEX FITCH April 2025

Anyone who's attended a Cartoon County event (or indeed many other comics-related events up and down the country) will understand why we love our host Alex Fitch, broadcast journalist, comics scholar, host and lecturer.

In April 2025, to celebrate twelve years of his hosting Cartoon County interviews, and a big birthday, we turned the tables, and Alex was our guest in a packed-out session, with questions from graphic novelists Hannah Eaton and Hannah Berry.

In 2026, Alex will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of hosting radio shows about comics for Resonance FM. During his time living on the south coast Alex has co-curated the (mostly) annual comics symposium Graphic Brighton, as well as becoming a PhD student and lecturer at the University of Brighton. An excellent mini-Graphic Brighton was held on 3rd May, with featured artists showing and talking about their work as or with refugees.
