GRAPHIC STORYTELLING AT SUSSEX ARTS CLUB 23rd MAY
Do pictures tell a thousand words, eh? Let's have a big hand for comics creators Woodrow Phoenix and David Lloyd, who will be debating words and pictures with novelist Meg Rosoff at the Sussex Arts Club, 7 Ship Street, Brighton, 7.30pm on Monday 23rd May. The event is part of the Brighton Festival - and held to mark the launch of THE: BRIGHTON BOOK, to which both Woodrow and Meg have contributed stories. Woodrow's 'End of the Line' is a striking 20-page graphic story set in Brighton, where 'if you tipped England up, everything loose would roll down here'.
Cartoon County is hosting the event on its regular meeting night (last Monday in the month) along with Brighton Book publishers Myriad Editions. Tickets £5 from Festival Box Office 01273 709709 or www.brighton-festival.org.uk or on the door - the bar will be open throughout the evening. For more information about THE: BRIGHTON BOOK see http://www.thecitybook.co.uk/brighton.html
