This month we've brought our Cartoon County meeting forward one week to take advantage of the opportunity of having an excellent comics writer as our speaker. Antony Johnston is in Brighton this weekend at a games conference, so we've grabbed him to chat before he heads out of town!
As well as writing the scripts for games such as Dead Space, ZombiU and Shadow of Mordor, Antony is a prolific comics writer who's worked for Marvel, Oni Press, Avatar and Image. He's made a name for himself adapting various Alan Moore prose works, and penned many creator-owned sf and fantasy stories, like
Wasteland,
Umbral and
The Fuse. He's also written three different versions of
Daredevil, so it'll be educational to hear his views on reinventing a character for different audiences.
Alex Fitch will be conducting the talk for podcast on Panel Borders. And you can hear Alex's previous chat with the writer in 2009 on Panel Borders for Resonance FM:

So join us on Monday, 20th April, upstairs at The Cricketers, Black Lion St, Brighton, from 6 onward, with the talk starting later at 7.45.
